Has anyone ever done a Clay - Bar how to? I know this will sound silly but after reading the instructions and using the clay bar I find it kind of difficult. I don't feel I am doing it correctly.
Does anyone have any pictures or documentation on how to do it correctly? I have only tried on a small area of my hood, and basically pushed the clay bar up and pulled it down. The directions were not clear and didn't mention rolling the bar down. I didn't see anything paint imperfections caught by the clay....
So can anyone help me out? I'd like to give my car a nice detailing before it gets too cold to wash it by hand. And, yes I know I live in the south, and 50 is cold to me!
car must be fresh ffrom being washed.
do a small area at a time, maybe 2x2 ft. use plenty of spray. lightly guide the clay across the surface, back and forth until it feels like it's sliding on ice. wipe off spray. move to next section.
don't push on the clay. if it's sticking youre either pushing down too hard or not using enough lube.
after this, make sure you use a good wax.
good link, but he doesnt need the Meg kit, it comes with step2 polish and cleaner wax, but it does come with a nice microfiber towel. basic clay magic lube and clay will work fine. or u can mix ur own clay lube, 1 part carwash, 10 part water.
