Very interested in this. But are you able to make a stiffer polyurethane bushing? 60a is definitely to soft I don’t want it to be that soft. I would prefer a 85 or 90 bushing. If you can please PM me price. Thanks.
I did extensive research on which urethane hardness to used and settled on Urethane Casting Compound Shore (60A), Black. In my opinion this matches and compliments the stock mount urethane very closely.
I only made 3 and all with 60A. The one in my car performed perfectly. It is plenty stiff. You would also benefit from Front and Rear differential Collars and rear subframe collars. I have sets of those available for sale. Send me a PM for more information .
I don’t have stock front mounts. I’m looking for straight performance. I can’t help but to disagree with you on 60a being plenty for a 400 plus hp car. I had 85a mounts on a tl type s and I felt those were good for that car. I can’t see how softer mounts on this car would help. I’m FBO and my stock trans mount is cracked and done for. I want something to match my front mounts.
You are obviously entitled to your opinion but IMHO you can't even compare a Honda ti type s to our ISF. My ISF had a fully modified suspension and drive train with everything except engine mounts and had no issues. As an engineer I did my own research and the Shore 60A rating urethane completely filled in stock mount was excellent for me as I wasn't looking for anything to rattle my fillings out. I'm not going to even try to compare cars as everyone has different needs and expectations.
If you change your mind let me know.
By hand how does it feel when you try to compress it? Mine I can compress it to a certain point by hand. Just want to get any idea how much stiffer it is then an oem one. Also can the polyurethane separate from the rubber or are they permanently fused together?
