Default FS: 2010 IS F Steering ECU (89650-53040)

Hi all,

This is a fully functional 2010 steering ECU from my IS F, part# 89650-53040. The unit is compatible with all 2nd gen IS', but it considered an upgrade for the IS x50 vehicles.

Reason for sale: Upgraded to a 2011+ steering ECU

Sale price: SOLD

You will likely need to have this calibrated at your dealer or from someone who owns and/or has working knowledge of a Toyota/Lexus Techstream device. I've outlined the process in my thread, here. Please feel free to ask any questions in this thread or via PM.

GLWS great upgrade for us isx50 owners. Definetely noticed a big improvement in feel but it is a must to get it calibrated. Dealer charged me 62 dollars for .5 hours of labor for the job.
Thanks

Hey, just curious which dealer did the cal for you? And also, OP, what is the difference between the 08-10 vs 11+ ECU? Seriously considering picking one up, but curious of the differences.

That sounds about right, as it only took ~20 minutes for my tech to install mine (friend helped off the clock, so no charge). Thanks for your input, this should give others an idea as to how much the install costs.

The 2011+ ECU has less assist and firms up the steering that much more. The first link in my original post has a ton of detail from other IS owners about this swap, as it ranges from the base IS x50, to the F-Sport, to the IS F in level of steering feedback/assist. Check it out.

I went to lexus of thousand oaks and they did an "a la carte" type service. Scumbags over at keyes lexus wanted 130 for a 20 minute job.

Thanks skottydznt and Shinobi for the feedback! I'll had to sit on this for a while, GLWS!

For what it's worth, I'm over here in greater LA area, so my main choices are lexus of Santa Monica and South Bay lexus.....needless to say if I do end up picking up an ECU (or this one), i'll probably end up making the drive up to thousand oaks. I'd probably call Longo too to see what they could offer.
