1 -MAPECU3 without the harnesses. You can purchase new ones from MAPECU. You'll need a vacuum hose as well. Unfortunately, I couldnt even open the hood to attempt a harness rescue. I just grabbed what I could. With the MAPECU3 piggyback, you'll be able to fine tune your AFR and timing for gaining that extra 20whp NA or to control your boosted setup for safety or to push the limits. To run it in open and closed loop modes (boosted setup) you'll need an additional AFR calibrator module from MAPECU as well, although it isnt expensive.

How difficult is it to do the tuning? Does it take a lot of knowledge to do, is it "dummy proofed", or should my shop mess with it? I've never dabbled with any tuning personally, so i would be at the hands of google if doing it myself. lol

Also, ball park price on harness from Mapecu? I see about $2-300 on their page (well the page they recommend buying from) for other Lexus models, but IS250/350 not listed, so curious if its upcharged for being "custom".

The inital installation and tuning should probably be done by your trusted tuning shop. MAPECU is a pleasure to work with and will go above and beyond to help you install it correctly. Once it is installed, a dyno tune is highly recommened. It is NOT dummy proof and you'll have to operate it and make changes to your fuel trims with a bit of reason and temper. For instance, my stock ecu was keeping the AFR at about 11.2 near readline and pulling timing before each shift. After discussing what I wanted with my shop, we decided on a targeted AFR of 12.0-12.3 near redline and adding 4 degrees of timing back in. This setup was considered pretty safe and netted me about 20whp on my NA setup.

so essentially, I can purchase the tune and run it on my N/A is 350 2006 with only the addition of 135$ plus your mapecu and a shops set up time and get about 20 hp to my car?
