Default TRADE:Custom molded GS-F sport bumper 4UR stock IS bumper + cash

Please only post questions in here. No bumps, nor farewells, opinions, what you had for breakfast, etc... (I don't think I'll need a vouch considering my itrader and the mods following my build thread and locals posting pics of the car but if I do I'll find a voucher via PM and have him post in here)

Selling my one of a kind bumper. (unless you include HKS's but his is different then mine)

Asking: $1,500 plus your stock front bumper. Don't care if your stock bumper has scratches, rock chips, etc...

Problems: I'm located in AR. I fear shipping this and you shipping your bumper. Seriously. Far too many things can go wrong. I have no problem driving to east side of TX, SE OK, South MO, West TN, North LA, but past that I will need reimbursement for fuel/expenses. I have no problem assisting on the install / de-install of your bumper / my bumper. I have a-lot of experience taking these things off and on. The FL crew can vouch for that.

What's wrong with it?: It has 4 rock chips on the front. I use it as my daily driver and it has seen rare 80mph sprints without flexing. Also on the middle of the grill where we stitched the two grills together you can tell they were stitched together. Doesn't look perfect. And there are no mounting areas for the front of your fender liner. Nor for the bottom engine liner. I actually run no liners but I'm sure you can figure something out before sending it to the paint booth.

Why are you selling it?: Starting this company is taking more money then I anticipated. So having some cushion will make me sleep better. Plus this thing is too aggressive for my car. I don't have aggressive side skirts or rear. I think this belongs on an IS-F personally. Or would make a great mold for those of you that have $12k to spend on a mold to resell the molds to us on CL... Just a thought.

Yo J I know you mentioned no GLWS etc but just figured I would chime in to give fellow CL Members an idea the time and effort that goes into making this bumper. I just recently made mine, and I spent a little over 60 hours to get it together. My bumper is slighly different than his since I molded mine after the Five Axis 4GS but for the most part its still the same concept. I dont know what a body shop would charge exactly for this kind of work but I would imagine 2-4K. So with J offering to drive to install de install etc and the price he is asking is a VERY good deal. Hopefully this bumper finds a good home. Theres not a day I drive my car without breaking necks thanks to this bumper alone

Thanks for the kind words.

I'm now accepting OBO. I will drive anywhere in the United States but it most occur on the weekend and if it's far you must meet me half way somewhere. I'll bring all the tools needed to swap.

I don't believe this will fit a IS-F. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi, I'm interested in the swap. In the post you stated "on the middle of the grill where we stitched the two grills together you can tell they were stitched together. Doesn't look perfect"

Can You post a close up pic of the bumper? If it weren't too bad, I'll be glad to take the bumper.

Thanks

If I were keeping this bumper, I had plans to order a mesh material from an online retailer and laying it in after I cut this one out.

Hey, thanks for posting up the pic. Hope it wasn't too much trouble for you. I can see it now, and it isn't too bad.

So, would I be able to just buy a new GS-F grille and swap it out?

You're welcome
Yes most people only see the problem area when I put it out to them. I'm OCD and I see it everyday and it bothers me
It is more complicated then that. Here's why. We had to cut the middle anyways to SHRINK the width of the grill. While doing so I went ahead and removed the emblem.

If you look at HKS350's white IS (assuming you can actually FIND pics of his) he had to cut both sides off of his grill in order for it to fit.
So, you could but it's going to be more trouble then what it's worth.

My suggestion, and what I had planned on doing. Was removing this grill all together from the back and then glue-ing in a mesh.
Like this mesh here http://jecmesh.en.made-in-china.com/...teel-Mesh.html

Also, I still have the Lexus emblem. So if you wanted the emblem to stick on the mesh (assuming you go that route) you could do that too.
I think if you could find a mesh that matches the same pattern as the lower bumper mesh then that would look even better. My 2 cents.
