TX FS: 2008 Black IS-F Seats Front/Rear
#37
Wow, this interior is beautiful but is just way out of my price range. The post by RpmSteve:
... here gives me a little hope that the price could fall, but I think someone would probably pick it up at a price higher than I would be willing to pay - and rightly so these seats look really good. Plus I'm in MD and would like to somehow check the seats out first. So I don't see a purchase from me ever happening.
A little background on why I'm interested in swapping out my seats -
back on labor day weekend, somehow my windows were halfway down in my '08 IS 350 for a period of 24 hours where it rained non stop. All the exposed areas on the all seats feel soft as hell now. What I really care about is the driver's seat because that grips you when you drive. I was thinking I would replace the seat at some point once I confirmed that my seat and its grip just were not the same anymore (either taking someone else's IS for a spin or test driving a new IS when at the dealer).
Never thought to replace all the seats but these pictures make me wish I could.
Best of luck OP.
beautiful interior, i just dont know if its fetching almost 5000 with shipping. I understand the full set is probably 10k+ from the dealer but that just doesnt matter
My interior was stolen in my 08 evo X. Dealer value was about $10,500. Well you can get the whole set for well under 2000$ online with under 500 miles.
Sometimes value is about supply and demand, not just original price - time/use Depreciation. I know you have basically the only supply right now, but a 5k demand is VERY high for seats that 99% of people wont notice a difference in.
Put it THIS way. 08 IS-F's are going for 40k-44k at auctions right now. I just paid 27k for my 07 IS350. so for 13k-15k I can basically upgrade. i get 100HP, the interior, the body, the suspension, brakes, etc... I'd rather spend 15k and get all of that, then 5k and just get the seats, ya know

what price are you looking for now since the $4500 you initially asked for seems to be too high?
As of right now I'm just curious so I don't want to lead you on or anything. I think these seats are awesome but I don't know if I want to replace my current seats right now in my 2008 IS 350 w/ the car just a year old and at 20k miles (plus I'm not sure if these would fit and all, I've never looked into it). Again, just curious...
