FS: TOM's rear lip
Selling a slightly damaged TOM's rear lip painted smoky granite mica (1G0). It was involved in a minor rear ending in June 07. It was purchased unpainted from Carson Toyota and painted and installed by Kennedy at Premier. 2 weeks later I got rear ended. The damage to the rear lip was very minor so I re-installed the lip and ran with it for another 4 months until a replacement lip finally arrived from Japan.
you can see the majority of the damage was to the rear bumper. if my car wasn't lowered, the rear lip would've taken the blunt of the rear-ending.

The black weather stripping was cut, so another black one must be purchased. I've been told 3M makes a similar strip?
one of the tabs that connect to the underside of the bumper snapped off.
Other than the damages illustrated above, the lip is in good condition. Included with the lip is a new GREY weather stripping (used for light colored cars). I don't have a BLACK weather stripping, except for the cut one already on the lip. Also included is a COPY of the installation manual in Japanese. What's not included are the screws and rubber washers that screws the lip into the fender well (these can be found at home depot), PAC primer, the original double sided tape and a new black weather stripping.
Asking for $400. List price at Carson Toyota is $550 unpainted and $660 painted. Local buyers only... I am located in Torrance, CA. I want the buyer to personally inspect the lip and be aware of the damages before accepting delivery of the lip. Thanks for looking!

no. the lip is mainly held on by double sided tape. i ran the damaged lip with nothing but double sided tape for 5 months with absolutely no problems at all. in fact, i had a hell of a time taking the lip off... it was on there pretty tight. also, the 2nd shop that installed the new lip didn't even secure those 2 tabs. finally found out 6 months later when i just happened to look underneath the rear bumper.
