Own>1996 LS400 w/76k purchased used in '99 for $37,000. Car only had 27k at time of purchase at Charles Barker Lexus, Va Beach VA whom I'm not particurly fond of because they said they would need another $1000. at time of purchase to CPO. Nonetheless, it has been a great car the past 4 years but would like to update. Looking for late model GS400/430. I just missed a '02 GS430 for 43k at Lexus of Richmond and would greatly appreciate any leads in VA/MD/NC vicinity.

I bought my GS 400 from them last year. Because their are 4 Lexus dealership in their vicinity (5 if you count Richmond 1.25 hours away) They have more of a incentive to give good prices. After living in the DC area for years and having a ES and now a GS my opinion is that of all the dealership that were near me (Lexus of Alexandia, Annapolis, Rockville, Silver Spring and Pohanka Lexus in Chantilly) Lexus of Alexandria had the best prices on cars but they made it up on service which was fine since I had my car serviced at Lexus of Rockville. Just my 2 cents. It's worth the trip. I traveled back to Lexus of Alexandria from Charlotte, NC to buy the GS I have now. My 00 GS400 Plat. edition has the Nav. and had 14k miles less than a regular GS400 here without the Nav, Plat pkg and 28k miles and they were not even trying to come down off the price. It pays to travel.
