Default FS: Noise/temperature reduction intake box

For sale, custom noise/temperature reduction box for intakes for GS400's. This is a custom "DIY" type kit that I bought last year and never got around to installing. Never installed, in original box and packaging. Asking $65 shipped, or $60 local pickup in West LA. Thanks!

Default It's been sold!

Just want to say, it's been sold! I have a question for the group. It's been my general policy that the person first in line is the first person to say basically "I'll take it".

Is this the usual rule here:

1. Some emails with questions, you respond to the questions (2 emails).

2. Someone (person A) emails asking a question about the product you're selling, and asks what if the lowest price you'd go on it. Say this is the 3rd email asking questions.

3. You respond to person A's questions.

4. Say, two more emails from others with questions, you respond to the questions.

5. Someone else emails a few minutes later saying "I'll take it at the asking price" (person B).

6. You respond to this email and say "it's yours" (person B). Person B then proceeds to paypal you the money.

7. Later the first person (person A) who asked the questions emails back saying "I'll take it".

Who do you sell it to? The way I see it, if you don't commit to buying it, and are just asking questions, you don't have a sale, and you aren't the first person in line. If the rule is that the first person to ask a question is first in line, then I'd be waiting for everyone who asked a question to either commit or decide they don't want it, which seems unreasonable.

But if the right thing to do is refund person B's money, and sell it to person A, then that's what I'll do. Anyways, what do you guys think? I'm 99% sure the right thing to do is sell it to person B.

Kind of a judgement call. You can sell it whomever you want. I'd say, whoever is willing to pay you your price first has a done deal.

For Me:
The line starts with the first email. If #2 comes along and tells you they will take it for your asking price, I'd say give #1 an opportunity since he replied first - "First Come First Serve"

That's the thing, do I now email everyone who emailed me asking a question about the intake box, "do you want it for $65?" And wait for everyone to reply?

Well, I really didn't want to take this public, I guess there's no choice. First of all, I'd like to say that Tony has been great throughout this and I don't want a flame war of any kind started. But if I were in Tony's shoes, I would agree with Dex.

Let me add to Tony's statements;

I did email him with questions, but they were very specific and strongly implied that I intended to purchase the item. I responded to Tony's email, his first one to me, stating where should I send the payment. All emails were within 2 hours of each other, then I receive an email fromTony stating it was sold ?!!!

Shouldn't you finish a conversation with someone before jumping to the next person?? just my .02

Well, what goes around comes around. Others may not be as likely to purchase next time from sellers that follow such practices.

CL can't tell a seller who to sell to.

Thanks for the support Dex, as I said I don't hold any hard feelngs against Tony and I encourage others to feel the same way. Maybe another one will come up for sale.
