P.S. It is not scratched. That's a finger print and light reflection. As you can see, picture two is clear. I didn't use it for more then say a month before it came off.

There have been many threads discussing how difficult it is to obtain this part unless you're willing to purchase the entire shifter assembly.
Here are your options:

1) Buy the whole shifter assembly
2) Have the part chromed yourself
3) Find a newer model GS totalled in a junk yard and beg owner of car to sell you THAT piece only
4) Post an awesome offer that would make people that have the part willing to part with it.

Looks like you need a shift **** as well. You're not the first person i see to have the leather wear out near the wood on top of the ****.

I have already replaced mine once and already the second **** is showing wear.

Has anyone ever been able to repair or color theirs with something that matches the leather?

That's my **** in the pic (thanks for the credit ). I actually replaced it last month with a JDM Aristo shift **** that looks just like the Lexus one, but is substantially cheaper. Steve Ganz can get 'em. Perfect match.
