Default FS: Throttle Convert Kit 2JZGTE-VVTI

It is used to bypass the e-throttle behavior of the throttle body to work like a normal cable throttle .

I have one installed on my car and it works great ..this is just an extra I had for another project I am putting on hold .

$400USD shipped

Some links to the manufacturer website

So what are the benefits of this other than eliminating or resolving possible sensor issues? I could understand getting this if the throttle position sensor or another sensor on the throttle body were broken and you didn't want to replace them, but why spend $400 for this when the throttle position sensor is only like $50? Also an entire used throttle body with working sensors can be found for around $350ish as well? Not trying to knock or talk ***** on your sale or post just trying to figure out the general idea or purpose behind this mod?

It's to convert the throttle plate to manual operated instead of electronic operated. It eliminates the lag time associated with the electronics. So basically, it speeds up throttle response.

If you can do a bit better on the price, I will buy it just to experiment with it. $400 seems a bit steep for a couple of gears and brackets lol.

AHHHHHH gotcha, thanks for clarifying, I wish I had boost and mans swap already to utilize this, I'll def keep it in mind for the future. II guess the sensors part is what really threw me off. BTW sorry to get off topic, but Jeff, u kick a$$!! The tutorials and stuff you've done for the GS community is totally invaluable, you're the man!!!

GLWS!

Post a link of it 225 shipped from japan lol, i can guarantee you won't get it for 225 shipped from japan. If its used then maybe it was one of those things where it was a good deal but these are 350+ not including shipping from japan. Oh and it actually works glws rush161 i know how it is to sell parts and have people question you.

I agree with this. I'm half tempted to just reverse engineer this and have everything made for less than $50.

I have been leaning in that direction to have it replicated for the better of the community but the few quotes I got for cnc service have been expensive .

I've tried to look up more info on this part but was unable to find what I needed. Help!
I am currently having an issue with one of my sensors on my throttle body causing my car to go into limp mode disabling my throttle response. My question is, will my car continue to go into limp mode due to a faulty sensor if using this kit? I'm wondering if I will have any performance issues if my car electronically finds an issue and trips my car into limp mode when it will be working fine mechanically.

I am extremely interested in this at a better price point.
Does it delete Speed Limiter and Traction Control as well?
