I would defer the question to the experts. If I'm not mistaken though, someone posted in the GS Suspension section of having had the stock shocks/H&R springs setup. I know I've seen it but I can't recall who did it.

Got pics of the shocks?

Is this for GS400 or GS300? I believe the part # for GS300 is HR-52427-1 and part # for GS400 is HR-52427-2.

Which one you got? I figure the part # is printed on the springs.

Are these for a 400 or 300? What was the ride like with them on?

Very firm yet still comfy. These are progressive rate springs that's why. For the 400, but I think it will also fit on the 3.

I may take these. Email me and we'll discuss the possibilities.

Progressive rate spring means that the tension of the springs become greater as it is compressed in order to do these two things:

1. Keep car from bottoming
2. Retain comfort by insulating car from the smaller but greater number of bumps on a typical road.

I'm selling them because I prefer a less stiffer spring rate (than Eibachs which I am now finding is somewhat the same) and higher look than the H&R provides (true for the Eibach). I've got a family that sometimes all ride in the GS and we live on hilly places where the tendency to grind the tails, even with the stock springs, had always been a concern.

Are you saying that the ride is too harsh? or too stiff? When you talk about grinding, you refer to scrubbing the tires in the well or the body lip scrubing because it's so low?

I'm interested in just lowering the car slightly, but keeping as close to stock ride (comfort) as possible. I would prefer lower and totally stock ride, but I know that's not possible. I have a family too, and we all ride in the GS. I definetly don't want scrubbing problems.
