it will not....the outer shell is different on the 1998-2000 than the 2001

install will be very similar to this DIY i made....only exception will be the rear mirror casing on the 98-2000 models is different.

be careful with the spring inside on the 98-2000 models. (when you start doing it you'll understand what i mean.IF U HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE SPRING ON THE 1998-2000 MODELS HERE IS A SOLUTION
