i used them for my bag setup so it didnt even use the springs. these coilovers are specifically made for the 2GS, i just used them on my IS250. thanks for clarifying!

the is300 coilver to gs300 swap didnt work for me!
im actually in the middle of swapping them from my is300 to a 98 gs300 i just bought and its not bolt on.
the coilovers im working with are tein cs.
the rear ones are no problem and bolt right in but the front one have two issues.
the three studs on the upper mount that bolt on through the engine bay are set farther out on the gs. about 3mm or so. i had to drill out the holes on the shock tower to get the studs to clear. then on the lower mount of the fronts, the mounting bolt on the gs is a larger diameter than on the is300. so u will have to use the is300 mounting bolt, which im not to happy about cause the bolt is much smaller and not fitted to the mount hole on the gs and might have some play when driving(still havent tested it)
