Also, would the kenwood 12" fit in the stock sub location or what modifications would it need to fit?
The kenwood sub is not a IB sub. Therefore it can't be run in the stock location. Finding a good sub that will fit the stock location takes a lot of work. First you need to find a good IB sub which are expensive as hell. Second you need to modify the subwoofer space if you want to run anything bigger than 10 (I think stock is 10... at least it was for my system). If you're interested my sub and amp combo would be $340, it's worth it. The sub is 400 RMS, the amp is 500 RMS. They're almost perfect for each other and the 500/1 is a great amp that lets you power anything you might buy in the future. If I were you I would buy my full audio setup. It's a big improvement over the ML I had before, and it can get loud if you want to impress your friends. I had Tommy at Musicbox install it and it looks great as well, the speakers are 6.5, which is an upgrade from the stock 4. Also he made custom wood baffles for the speakers that fit in stock locations. Those would be included if a 2GS driver bought them.
