I want to buy a chrome shifter bezel ring. They come standard on the 01/02 GS430 and GS300 sport edition.

I would be willing to pay $50 bucks for one. If you need the black plastic one, I can send you mine as a replacement.

For those of you who have it, great way of making a quick 50 bucks if you could live with the black plastic one.

Hey MC if you can get the chrome bezel ring, I will pay you for the part and than some extra for your troubles. Let us know if you can get the part. Also, I think the part number that was for the original chrome bezel ring for $12 bucks is now the same part number for the plastic one.

I think its time I arrange a test drive for a GS430 at my local lexus dealer

i didn't know that little do-hickey is so hard to come by. i recall reading here that lexus doesn't make it anymore, but that can't be true.

Alright, Sorry to steer everyone down the wrong path. I just spoke the same guy again at Westminster Lexus, and now he is telling me that in order to get that piece you have to buy the whole center console with cup holder for 355. I went in there two weeks ago, and he remembers talking to me, and ask him about the just the chrome bezel and he quoted me about 40 dollars. I guess he made a mistake. I told him if he could get it, 20 other poeple would order too, and he didn't have an answer. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I wanted to get one too, now he tells me I can't. I am going to call 80025Lexus to see if they can help out maybe in locating a part number or even the part.

Guys, I'd love to be proven wrong but I think that unless you find one gathering dust at some dealership, you're not gonna find one.

Dex posted install pictures some time ago (9/14/2001)- as well as a picture of the bag it came in - with the part number (58843-30120) plainly shown. I took it to Sewell Lexus and challenged the parts manager to get it. He said "don't worry, I'll get it". Long story short, he ordered that part number and it has apparently been superceded in the inventory system and I got the stock gray one delivered. You can do a search on shift bezel and find the thread.

However, if anybody finds a gross or two, you could mark them up and make a few bucks - everyone wants one.

No BLW, but it's worth a try - Ill call them tomorrow. It was my understanding from John Godyn at Sewell that if any other dealer had one, he could get it - that's why I didn't try Park Place.

Hey Pusher - the part number I included in my previous post is for the chrome bezel. The picture is one that Dex posted showing the bag that the chrome bezel came out of.

These quit being available I think late last year. The entire center consol assemble needs to be ordered; Steve G. told me this and I think posted it here as well.

I happen to have one chrome bezel laying around, but I havent decided if Im going to install it or not, but if Im not installing it I might sell it for a good offer
