I'm sure you can cut off the tips and weld on new ones if you really wanted to. I'm even willing to trade you for your OEM mufflers, but cash on top of course.

Yeah welding new tips is not a biggie at all , heck you don't even have to weld. If you can remove the old tips and drill a hole in the bottom of the new tip towards where it connects you can then drill a hole in the pipe and drop a bolt through there and bolt in on .
