Default WTB - supercharger kit (Lexus GS400)

I am going to try this one more time. I was going back and forth as to if I would ever want to SC my car. After doing some research the addition of an SC was a "no go" for me due to the fact that many say they have rev limiter issues at WOT (constantly hitting the rev limiter). However, someone indicated to me that (duh) since I have the e-shift (GS400) I could prevent this manually.

So, I am once again looking for a SC kit in good condition for my GS400. I am looking to spend no more than $3K. I have seen a nice SRT setup recently go for $2,500 that BigL picked up and have also seen previous setups for around $3,500-$4,000.

I am asking for a complete kit around the $3K range. I am very serious.

If no one pulls through I may have to just take a damn ride to SRT (Maryland) and get a brand new (with the latest technology) SC kit for ~$8K as per Mo.

If anyone on here is SC'd and is thinking of parting out their car for any reason PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA PM!

Thanks
Nick

Re-read my post...Mo from SRT quoted me $8K for a NEW (one-off) SC kit (install and tune incl.). However, right now I am looking for a used one from any CL member for around $3K.

Yes, if I go the brand new route at SRT I know that I will not have my car for about 3-4 weeks; I will rent a cheapo car to bang to and from work for that period of time.

You should looks into a roots type supercharger. Me, Frankdorn and Sam430 are thinking of putting some type of project together. You can get the supercharger cheap <$200 but theres guna be some fabrication of the intake manifold.

Check through this thread! Im hopefully guna start working on this in the next month or so...

Lots of good R&D, and other goodies

yea i would go the custom route probably cheaper i put mine up but no ones to spend the money so it will come back down. i am going with a manuel trans behind the supercharged motor will be nice without hitting the rev limters because the auto doesn't change gears fast enough...good luck with your search
