Hey Kirb, most veilside dealers get 20% list with some gettin 30% off list. So asking $800 seems a bit high, but good luck sellin it. Hey, if you do sell it locally, me PM and buy the BOX from ya so I can ship out my carbon fiber hood.

If that was the case why doesn't everybody have the hood... I will have you know that i am VERY good friends with ray and katzu over at veilside and to say that everyone can go out and get the hood for 20% off retail already for any "normal" customer is REALLY hard to do unless you are really good friends with shop owners....

How bout you call a normal shop and ask them how much they can get the hood for....I will GUARANTEE that they will NOT give 20% off retail to just a normal customer......

Yeah, I'm lucky enough to know Ray and a couple of shop owners myself. I'm sure most shops wont give a regular joe 20% cuz that's what their cost is, but the shops that get 30% off that really want to make a sale will let it go at 20% off (considering how most aftermarket stuff becomes *****d out sooner or later). Since you do have hook-ups (ie got the hood at 30%), why are you trying to make 15% off selling the hood to CL members???

And you ask why doesnt everyone have this hood, well personally I think it is OVERKILL and thats coming from someone who has the FULL veilside bodykit. The hood just takes away from the lexus luxury cuz its too aggressive. I sure those honda and acura guys would be all over it, but then again, that kinda hood would be sellin for 1/2 of the GS hood. Most GS owners SHOULD EASILY able to afford $700-$900 for a hood, but they apparently choose not to buy it. Those are my two cents, but good luck anyhows.

First of all I DID NOT get the hood for 30% off retail nor am I trying to make $ off CL members.....get your facts straight.....I personally love the hood it's just that something didn't work out with my $ matters and have to sacrifice the hood for my ENDLESS 6 piston brake upgrade..(1st in the US) ........well anyhow....thanks for your two cents...talk w u later....

I think the whole veilside kit is very agressive. But that the point! I heard there are fitment problems with the hood. Anyone have the scoop?

Please understand that I am not taking sides here, and i think some of the information you have shared with everyone is privliged information.

Also it has come to my understanding that your kit was not intended to be a hook up to you through VeilSide, you had purchased your kit from your previouse employer (A VeilSide dealer). I also do not become involved with how a dealer will sell their inventory to an employee. In hind sight, i should have let Rich confirm that P.O. first...

If our friend here wants to sell what is already his, then let him be. If you don't want to buy it, then fine don't buy it. No need to make a big fuss over it.
