Spacers good or bad ??
The only thing i don't like about my stock 17" rims on my 99 GS400 is it doesn't fill up the fender wells, esp. on the rear. So a spacer solution is a very cheap way to fix that problem.
Just wondering ....what is the disadvantage of installing the spacers ??? Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.

Spacers
Well, as a past user of these, I have one question to ask you. What type of driver are you? In other owrds, are you looking for performance or looks? I was in for looks. If this is you.. this is the way to go. I would not recommend using these if you are a tuner/aggressive driver. You would be sure to have an expensive problem not just with the car, but with your warranty if you still have it. Spacers are an inexpensive way to "fill the gap" and improve the "LOOKS". I am going the same way in my GS because I am not sure I want to stagger my wheels. With spacers, I can still rotate tires/wheels. Do a search, there was a guy here that posted a pic of his GS with spacers and stock 17's. It looked real clean. Hope this helps. If you do get them, post a pic.

From what i've read....spacers are bad news...it really depends how bad on the thickness of the spacer I guess...
How thick of a spacer are we talking about here?

Spacers aren't too bad - it's just that you'll lose thread on your wheels which is not really recommended. (?)
I have seen "extended" male lug prongs to offset this so you may consider.

All of the H&R spacers have the extended wheel studs. They are a bit pricey, but the only ones worth buying. I just picked up a set of 5mm for the front and 15mm for the back. I'll post before and after picks when I get them put on.
