Default Custom LCD / Glovebox Computer

I built this screen and computer myself.
the screen is nice and bright. has a native resolution of 800x600.
will take RCA SVIDEO VGA inputs.
the woodgrain is horizontal and matches the OEM pretty well.
the outside frame is stained and epoxied with a high quality non yellowing surfboard epoxy.
the screen is removable. fits snug. and works great.
non of the oem brackets have to be modified. it screws on to the radio mount.

the pc part fits when u remove the cd player and the stock amp.
one of the rear brackets has to be bent back for the case to fit.

the pc needs a new harddrive and windows installed.
has 256mb ram. decent video card. and an audigy2 soundblaster. its an athlon 64 3000+. youll need a keyboard and a mouse as well. the motherboard has some bulging capacitors but has never given me any hardware problems. something to keep in mind.
i used this to power my amplifier and it sounded great.
you can use this however u want GPs. internet whatever

ill let the pics talk..
asking for $500 obo plus shipping.
Price Reduced $400 + Shipping

i did not have a cd drive installed with it i played mp3s with it.
one major advantage is the quality of sound that you get with the sound blaster.. its lik 107db s/n ratio so when u feed your amps this kind of preamp .. in the end you end up with super loud distortionless signal

u can always get an external usb cd rom or something if u wanted to listen to cds;s

well since computers are endless devices.. u can either stream radio from internet or .. im sure u can buy a radio tuner card or something.. except i dont know if its worth doing all that. i dont listen to radio period. your best bet with this is mp3s

also just so no one misreads.. this only comes with the core components. video and soundcard (soundblaster) anything else internet gps youll have to get your own adapters etc...

igotboost.. here are the close up of the few caps that are bulging.. you can easily replace them and be good to go

the first pic. is the post screen of the actual computer. as it doesnt have a harddrive. it will only boot to the BIOS overview.

in case the question comes up with harddrive life.. i used one seagate sata 160gb hdd for almost 2 years with no problem. i dont even think the HDD failed because of vibrations. i had the hdd mounted on the right side with 3 layers of velcro as mounting. which absorbed almost all street vibrations.

looks like the screen hangs low..how is the fitment with the ashtray? do you have any picks with the dash and the center completely assembled? Also is the computer 12v or are you running a ac/dc converter to power it up?

it lines up with the center console perfect tho.

and yes i had it set up with an inverter. dc->ac->dc
