haha.. It's funny how you put it jeff. For the people who haven't really mod their car to be fast and reliable, you really haven't seen how much money it takes. Heck, when I started my boost project on my GS300, I set out a goal to spend only $5k.. Well, let's just say that that figure has passed by a while ago since quality parts for the 2jz don't come cheap.

Oh jeff, I'll pay you $3k if you'll outfit my car with a Motec M600 and a tune if you're up to the task.

Hey Jeff, this technically is not a 2JZ-GTE right? It's a GTE-head on a rebuilt GE block. What exactly is the difference?

Yes it's a 2JZ-GTE VVTi head with a 2JZ-GE bottom end with GTE rods and pistons. Everything was balanced and blueprinted at the time of the build.

All the 2JZ blocks are nearly identical. The main difference being that the GTE block has the oil squirters for the pistons. The GE block does not. Many of the high power race Supras now days remove the oil squrters or just build up a GE block to begin with. When you are like them and have $10-20k+ into an block alone, you want all the oil going to lubricating the rods, crank, and bearings at high RPMs. The squirters actually reduce oil flow to those vital components.

Yea you just gotta buy a v160 along with clutch flywheel and the supporting parts which will cost you more lol if you plan to put it in a GS.

Yes, I can do the V160 for an additional $2k(assuming I can source a used good condition one for $3500 range). If you want new V160, then it costs around $5500 new from Toyota at dealer cost which I can get.

Then around $500 for all the misc parts such as master cylinder, lines, and custom fab to get it to work.

Then I would suggest a very good clutch because this setup is capable of hitting close to 800whp on a V160. I'd recommend a Carbonetics Twin disk carbon clutch, those run around $2200 new.

So, in short to get a good working V160 w/ twin disk carbon clutch it will be around $6200-8200 extra depending if you want to buy a used or new trans

Yep still for sale. I have two potential buyers right now, but like everyone else they're looking for/scraping together the funds at the moment lol.

Yes from a Supra. I fabricated new brackets for it to fit the car perfectly now. The old photos just had a plastic strap holding it as a temporary while I was welding the brackets. The car was sitting in the garage for a good 3 months.

If you buy the complete package, then you don't need anything else. It's ready to drop in and go. Even the EMS is tuned and ready to run.
