All A650E share the same internal. The bellhousing is different though so the way the engine connects to the transmission via torque converter may not be the same. If Lextreme is doing they rebuilds and they're telling me it's not interchangeable, then that might be a clue. Still, you should get confirmation on the issue just in case! I may have to drive to my buddy's shop to inspect it myself.
would this be ideal if my target is to run about 400 ~ 450 hp on a stock ge motor?
This turbo has a awesome powerband. Makes great power at 15-18(400-450hp) and pulls like craaaazy bat out of hell at 28-30psi(~600-675rwhp or so depending on your supporting mods). Spool is very quick also for a turbo of this size. I start building boost at around 2800-3000rpms on my car. Trust me it's a hell of a fun turbo and is one of the most popular choices in the Supra crowd.
is water-cooled better than oil cooled? or it just a matter of preference
they are all oil cooled, just some are water cooled as well...
I have not ever noticed a turbo that is also water cooled to be any better or longer lasting than just an oil cooled turbo...
this is a good deal on the turbo for anyone looking by the way... If I was gonna be in the country for more than 3 more months, I'd probably be picking it up...
jeff iam real interested in this how many miles can see more pics
is this a true precision setup my pt67 dbb is about to die
is turbine/hotside divided housin and t4
I will get as many pix as possible once the turbo is out of the car.
What do you mean if it's a true precision setup?
The turbo has Precision Turbo cast into it...so I guess that qualifies it as a real Precision heh.
Turbine is undivided housing T4 flanged, with 3" v-band downpipe flange.

It's supposed to cool the center section better. Some people say that the water allows convection cooling after the engine is shut off. Others say it's so you can shut the car off immediately after a hard run(something I'd highly suggest against doing no matter what turbo). But I think almost all ball bearing turbos just come with the water cooled center section as an extra "feature".

The only difference I can see would be that the flex plate is a different diameter or has different bolt patterns. I don't see why the heck they would design it that way though. I'm still confident it will fit both cars. BUT for the sake of customer satisfaction I will relist this as for GS300 only...for now.
It has about 0.5mm of play. I think that's normal though, when it was new it was a little tighter but pretty close to what it is right now. How bad is yours?
