Replied. If a Koito ballast came with the lights will the newer slim Denso work as well. Sorry for the dumb ?

Thanks

the slim ballast will not work if you are using oem hid headlights. it uses a thicker ballast and forms to the headlights. if you are using halogen headlights, then yes, you can use any ballast.

All ballasts use power and ground, so how will a Denso not work with his car? If you're saying it will not fit, then that's one thing, but if not, explain?

yes, all ballast works the same but have you ever seen the bottom side of an OEM GS headlight? it uses a special ballast which is incorporated in the housing. i believe if you don't use this special ballast, you'll end up with a big hole that needs to be covered up.

i hope you understand what im saying w/o posting pictures.

I do, and as long as it is covered up and sealed, then there is no problem.

Looks like its up the dsouth as to what he wants to do.

Spend $$$ and time trying to find the Koito, or do minor fabbing, and save $$$ with the Denso's.

OK to help out a little here for Don, I also used the slim denso.
Like what corkycal said, there is large hole underneath the big koito ballast.

After running the wire inside, I used silicone sealant around that hole and fabbed 2 metal harness

Thanks Chris(GsTek) and Ronnie(Emoshun) for helping out a bro. There is a larger hole, I'll just use my Asian ingenuity and cover it up with something.

Payment sent!
