KILA!
The GF210's with my Bilstien Sport shocks combo ride pretty nicely, but a tad bit on the firm side...i'd say a bit firmer than stock.

Btw, what the hell are dead springs? Can i cut them on mine as well?

I agree... MODS CAN YOU MOVE THIS TO THE GS SUSPENSION FORUM. I WILL CHANGE THE TITLE ONCE IT IS THERE! THANKS.

I really appreciate the advise guys! It made it a lot easier to go ahead and use the springs I have. I should have started asking in the forum first. Oh well, I will have more mod questions in the future!

Before you put your springs on remember there were a few coils at the top that were compressed very close together. Those are the dead springs or coils. Dead meaning they have no spring. They are pretty much usless as I understand it. If you cut those you will give yourself some additional drop. I have never done it, but I have heard of those who have and say it does nothing more than give you additional drop. I don't know what it does to the integrety of the spring it self though.

A dead coil is a coil that completely compresses and sits on the next coil down. Cutting one will not affect the spring rate, it will affect where the shock is positioned(based off lower stance). My car handels like an asolute dream with no other suspensiuon mods(as best a 5000 lb sedan with springs and OEM shocks can). It still rides just as it did OEM, that is not a lie. I can promise you cutting a dead coil out will not affect ride quality on your car at all, just make sure to take 1/2" - 3/4" off your bump stop as well, if your car hits the bump stop it will bounce.

Yeah... What he said! golfkid777 you know your stuff!

I talked to the tech at work that is going to put my springs on and he told me that he will have them on by tomorrow. I will try to get some photos up once it is done. Keep an eye out!
