whats the difference between an 01 rear bumper and a 98 rear bumper???

They are the same as far as design. The 01' bumper would fit a 98' and vise versa.

by any chance you have a picture of the trunk on? Im curious how it looks w/out the chrome strip.

Not sure what you're asking. I have pics of the bumper on the car. Oh, just figured it out, the chrome strip that goes around the bumper. No I don't have any close up pics, it's incased in layers of bubblewrap.
