Default 98 GS400 - Just passing on a good deal $7000-11000

I went to my Local Performance shop yesterday to checkout my buddies Intake on his 430 and noticed the shop owner had a GS400 that had been there for a while. I had actually inquired because I wanted the wheels (chrome stars), but anyway he said the owner fo the car was his lawyer. It was 98 Black / tan interior, chrome factory 17's. Like 130,000 miles on the clock of that 30,000 is on a newer 2001 engine installed with paperwork by my shop owner. The lawyer received the car for payment from a client that was going to jail for trafficing ( allegedly). Most of the miles are high (can you guess why). He says the only real problem is that the tranny has deteriorated from sitting so long an has no reverse. So the punch line why I think this is such a good deal? He says he would detail it and take 7000.00 for it as is, or 11000 with the tranny rebuilt and reinstalled with a warranty by his shop on the tranny. Just passing it along to the lexus lovers. Basically I don't think my shop owner is making anything on it, so he definately has not been pushing to sell it, it is like a favor to his lawyer. If anyone is interested let me know, and I'll give you the shop info in CT. The shop is a reputable shop that is always busy not some back door deal.

Hmm.. ****.. makes me wonder why I didn't install a 430 engine on my 400 when I had to replace the motor...

Does everything bolt up fine?
