Update
okay everyone, i just tested fitted the JDM strut bar on a 99 GS300 w/out an engine cover and it's hitting the engine w/one spacer but when we added another spacer it clears it by about 3-4 mm at most. . . as a result it won't clear with the engine cover on.

the guy was a no show and just to let you know, i bought this off of a 1st gen GS owner so it will fit your ride. . . but if you want you're still more than welcome to come by and test fit it. . . it shouldn't take any longer than 10 - 20 mins to test fit. . .
