if you do a search here there are a few posts from those who have done it themselves... hopefully they can provide some insight.
my local upholsterer quoted me $500 to do my car. but that included reinstalling my headrest monitors, which i was told would be difficult/not cheap

just want to answer some of the common questions i've been asked... but please bear in mind i'm comparing these to my seats which are almost 8 years old now, and they are a somewhat worn/tired.
- the leather does seem thicker than oem. i pulled off one of my headrest covers and compared the two to find out. the padding on the backside is thicker than oem also, so it feels a little softer/plusher from the outside.
- the grain of the leather is very close to the originals. at first i thought it didn't but when you stretch the leather out it's almost the same. the color is a little darker than oem, but mine have suffered from fading in the sun.
- the $500 quote for install i got from my local upholster was based upon having to do extra work to retrofit my aftermarket headrest tv monitors. from back when i did a search on this board for other install prices listmembers have received, my quote was somewhere in the middle of the ballpark.
- http://www.leatherseats.com does sell an install kit. please contact them for more info.
