Default Parts needed(required), HELP!!

Hello I am new here (post count). I own a 1998 Lexus GS400. I am in need of 5 of the lttle tabs that are positioned on our air vents. Their function is to control the direction, left and right, of the air flow when either using the heat or a/c.

I acquired the car without them, kinda makes it difficult to direct the air without them. Gotta stick your finger (if it's small enough) between the outer vents to turn the inner vents.

They are black with chrome tooling.

If anyone can assist me with this I'd very much appreciate it. If there's a question of what they are I will take a pic of the one that I do have and post it.

The dealer only sells the entire vent as an assembly, or that's what my dealer has told me. Maybe someone on here has a parts car or a junkie near them that may have a parts car.

The other question is, are those tabs unique to GS400 or similar to other models.

Thanks in advance,
Tim

No, actually I only need 3, there was one when I got the car. I just figured since I was buying I may as well buy extra, you know, what the heck.

Can you help out?

Tim

Is there anyone that can help or assist me with this? I'm having a hard time directing the cold air in my 'Luxury' Lex!

check www.car-parts.com.
Search engine for salvage yards... you may have some luck there on getting the whole assembly
