Lol - no sorry - it's the piece that you grab on when pulling up your trunk - the keyhole for the trunk is in it. Here's a pic...

Also how was it held onto the car? I imagine 3m tape would do the job

No, no, no, the bar is a replacement for the stock piece you already have. The bar is held on by 10mm bolts from inside your trunk. You have to remove your trunk lid carpet and you will see an access area to get to the bolts. It's about a 20 min job. Pretty easy...

Also, this sale is for a "Black" trunk bar, not a black chrome trunk bar. PLease don't get this confused.
