NTB!! Front left upper control arm (ball joint)
It looks like the noise I am experiencing is from my upper ball joint. The dealer wants $488 for this part. ARE THEY CRAZY???? what a rip off. I could by a used car for that much.
Does anyone have any connections that may be able to help me? I would like a gently used one for much cheaper please!!
thanks,
Fred

Thanks for the help -
Mine is a 98 GS400. I haven't called carlson, but I'm sure they are still in the ball park of my dealer, and thats not the ball park that I would like to play in...

and see the pics of my LOWER control arm bushing. Do you think it is thrashed? I don't think it is my UPPER anymore after looking close. It seems to be my Lower control arm bushing. THey want $180 something for it at Carlson, but I'm trying to find out how to get a new bushing put in. There must be a substitute bushing that can be pressed in by a machine shop for much cheaper-
OR....can you magically make a new LOWER drivers side control arm appear on E-bay
I don't know how you did that
