Lightbulb '93.5 Supra TT Auto Rear End

Taking off my '93.5 Supra TT auto rear end off my car... the higher gearing and LSD are nice for performance driving, but I'm spending too much on gas because of the higher cruising RPMs.

I want $500 + shipping FIRM on this. I believe the shipping weight is 80lbs or so. I'm going to be swapping it off early next week. Only serious inquires please.

What is the ratio? High 3s? Low 4s?

Does anyone know what our OEM GS4 rear is? Low 3s I'm assuming....right?

I think the stock GS4 is 3.21 and GS3 is 3.9x...this unit is 3.76 w/ a LSD. Any word on the transaction???

Ouch, 3.76 without a 6th gear is gonna be painful on the highway.

My buddy just put in a 4.12 I think. He's in 6th gear at such a high RPM while travelling 60MPH.

i've got the 3.76 rmm lsd. i've got no problem with the rpms on the highway. you can hit 135 mph before hitting the rev limiter. in fact at hiway speeds it is alot faster at passing other cars as you are in the sweet part of the rpm band.

the 3.76 lsd is a must have. this is by far the best mod i have on my car. my wife has a gs400 with the stock diff. and while fast the 3.76 lsd just runs away from her car.

going around a corner while torching the rear end is so much fun, you can just feel the power flowing to both rear wheels.

$500 for the 3.76 is a steal. rmm is charging $1650 for theirs right now.

i figure that the 3.76 lsd costs me 2-3 mpg. i average 15mpg, and that is in combo city-hiwy driving and flooring it every chance i get. the 3.76 just jolts you back in the seat so much more than the stock differential. i can't imagine ever going back to stock.

a must have in my book

6th gear? Must be a different car...

Anyway, my GS400 with 3.76 Torsen diff is at 3000rpms at 80mph. Not that bad (vs. 2650 stock I think).

Yeah, my buddy has a TA Firebird. I think he changed out the 3.76 to a 4.12 (4.16???? or something like that).

I meant to say that if you get a higher ratio rear end without having another gear, you'll be running higher in RPMs when travelling at a good rate of speed....which would make a quiet car "not so quiet" anymore.

To me, it defeats the purpose of MY GS4. I wanted the GS4 so I can have the power and luxury. I agree that 3k at 80MPH isn't THAT bad (my other car does that). But I personally don't want that.

Sorry for the confusion.

actually on our car with exhausts, staying in high rpm is usually when it's quiter. at 2k rpm most exhaust have the pretty bad droning
