Now get the other flathead ready. What you want to do is put the front of the flatheads underneath the tan piece as shown and push the tan piece up so that is can go up over the little plastic pice this holding it in place. This will be a little easier to see in the next few photos.
Now you may during this process have to give a small nudge first (before using the two flatheads together) in this area where another one of these small tan pieces with a hole is.
Now you should see this. Not the small black **** just above the orange locking mechanism. This is where that little tan piece with hole in it hooked into. I will show a closer shot next.
Next is the courtesy light. This is the most delicate piece to remove.
Carefully insert the small flathead at the top and push out a few millimeters and try to get at it by hand the first chance you get as the 4 little plastic hooks are very delicate.
IMPORTANT: (see second photo) I later found out after doing this a few times that you have the option not to do this and to wait to pull the door panel off and disconnect the electrical connector behind this area instead of doing this step.
Now if you forgot to lower the window completely, you should do it now. In order to do this you will need to reconnect the power window switch temporarily or the window will not lower.
The reason for lowering the window is to get easier access to the rails that raise and lower the window.
