Brake dust TSB for is250 owners (TSB now released, attached) merged threads
As far as I see it, a significant proportion of the whining for a TSB for the 250 occurred for 2 reasons. 1) People just wanted free brake pads. 2) If the 350 people can have them, we want ours too.
I bet a bunch of people are privately glad they have brake dust on their wheels. woo hoo! free brake pads! You know who you are.
ok, rant done.

TSB's are sometimes taken care of by the dealer if the car is on their lot and they receive the bulletin.
Other times they just don't bother.
When a company finds problems in their cars, they usually address the problem and fix it on the assembly line so they post a vin number on the TSB stating: cars starting from VIN number #ABC1234 - #ABD1239 are accepted for this service or recall.
They also give you the manufacture date.
I'm hoping we get the replacement pads cuz after 600 miles with soft braking, my rims are black.
If Lexus is aiming for the Luxury in Luxury Sport sedan, they missed this.
I don't see how silver rims that turn black real fast are part of the pursuit of perfection . . .
