It really depends... companies make all sorts of films... from high end films that cost like close to $300 to or more to tint a car. I'm not talking about ceramic films just regular metallic / non-metallic dyed films... and some that cost like $75 to tint the whole car. So you really have to ask what type of Johnson film they're using and then look it up and see how "good" the film is. Most companies say they "wont fade and will guarantee" it for life... so I take those words like grain of salt. My parents car's tint costed $160 done at Sprewell Racing and after 1.5 years its starting to fade... I can tell its not as dark as it was the first year it was on...
On the other hand on my E60 I took it to Wintech in Anahiem and the tint costed about $250 and it wasnt even their high end film I dont think... I think they had a better one and on top of that they had the option for Ceramic and that's been over 2 years and has not faded one bit. I somtimes wish it faded a little... its too dark.
You still get what you pay for...
