I just took the two cross rails off my RX350 roof rack. I believe that they account for most of the drag and the car looks better with them off. It is easy enough to take them off and put them back on if needed for carrying stuff. After the two limit screws are removed the first time (and not replaced) there are no tools required.
Part numbers are correct.
List price is $104/ each.
They fit perfectly.
1) Remove roof rack
Slide off plastic end caps
Unbolt rack- 8 bolts metric size.
Remove old trim strips- 6 pieces- 4 end, 2 middle.
Clean the channels of dirt and debris.
2) Seal in and around bolt holes with silicone sealant.
3) Insert new trim strips. Press in firmly.
If you do one side at a time, you will see how far to press in the new strips.
You can take apart the old roof rack with a torx driver to make storage easier,
in case you ever want to reinstall the roof rack.

Would someone please provide me with help on removing the crossrails on my RX350. I don't want to just start unscrewing things, because that's when I'll screw it all up. Pictures of what I would need to do would be superb! I asked the dealer and they told me there is no way to remove the crossrails.
I picked up my new RX350 on last Friday. And I removed the complete rack.
Couple of tips. The plastic molding just slides off. Foward and aft. You need to use 2 common screwdrivers to remove them. The first needs to lift up the skinny end. So it will go over the plastic base piece. With the second screwdriver. Put the tip between the gap. And spread and push the plastic piece from the rack. And it will slide right off. Take care as the plastic molding scratches easily. If it feels really tight. Adjust the screwdriver that is lifting the piece up over the base plastic piece.
Once the 4 moldings are removed. With a 12 MM socket. Remove the 8 each silver bolts. I lifted the entire section off the car. But if you want to take it apart on the car. There are two small 8 mm screws that stop the cross bars from going all the way back. With the two small screws removed. And the aft plastic molding removed. The cross bars will slide all the way off.
