Ordered the new tails from Lexus through my dealer. Dealer charges $170 per unit...considerably less than the aftermarket lights available elsewhere.

Why did you switch from 2001 tails to 2002...
I'm guessing the same reason I'm thinking about making the switch.
You didn't want to look like every other "honda" riceburner out there???
So, I'm thinking probably...I'll make the switch too! $340/pr at Lexus for the real thing! actually is a good deal.

That's exactly why. And, yes, the Lexus parts price is not that bad.
In case you're interested, here's what the '02s look like on MSM (one of two colors the darker reflectors actually DON'T come on for 2002).
