***brand New Center Console Shifter Plate***
For all you first gen guys who have a faded or chipped up wood centerconsole, I have a brand new one for sale for $175.00 SHIPPED.These cost almost $500.00 from the dealership and I'm selling the exact some one for half of that..I accept paypal and I ship usps priority mail with tracking number..Heres a pic..

They all eventually crack because the owners dont take care of it by dropping food and liquids on it, coffee and soda for example. Not to mention that the sun beats on it all day if the car doesn't have tints.Do have any idea how tacky that center console is going to look when you wrap it in leather??
Your better off leaving it the way it is if your not going to fix it right..Not trying to be rude, just being honest..

That's garbage. Lexus made the woodgrain on the middle console paper thin so they don't last. My first gs300 was one owner perfect condition. He replace it three times. This cars was his baby fully loaded. That was the only thing he complained about when I purchase the car. I am now the proud owner of 95 gs300 and a 2004 gs430. The thickness of the woodgrain is day and night. To relieve all arguments why don't the wood grain on the doors crack on the first gen. I rest my case........
and for info there is plenty of cars with the two tone interior upgrade that covered the console shift plate with leather and its looks really good. So to eachs own. Good luck with the sale and by the way on ebay there is the woodgrain insert for the gs300 and it cost 1/4 the price with free shipping.......

Good luck with the sale and by the way on ebay there is the woodgrain insert for the gs300 and it cost 1/4 the price with free shipping.......I never said that there is anything wrong with two tone leather.I simply stated that it would look tacky to wrap the center console in leather..The thickness of the wood has nothing to do with why it cracks, its the clear laquer finsh is what cracks.Also, the doors on these cars also crack for the same reason..The woodgrain that you are referring to is not an insert but a cheap plastic overlay..You can choice which one you want to go with.Cheap or tacky??

first off I don't roll 22's on any of my lexus, bone stock. My gs300 has a custom single turbo upgrade and I just did a fresh stock paint job and my gs430 is stock also. So I am not what you think. What I reply is my opinion. I know where to get used console wood grain parts. The best thing to preserve the shift console is to have a clear coat put over the woodgrain and should not chip or crack
