If I had a cupholder that mod would be perfect.

When I bought my GS, it was missing the insert. My Toyota/Lexus mechanic gave me one with broken tabs that he had kept after replacing it for another customer. So I'm going to do the above mod. Nice mechanic.

Thats funny!

How serious is everyone here? No dead-beats either!

Someone start a poll and include year and color and zip code. Remember UV rays will change the color so 100% match is not likely but it will be close.

These will be OE and brand-new. I have no clue what the cost will be but I will need to know who are dead serious about getting these.

As for payment the way that works is you will pay first plus cost for shipping/Insurance to your desitnation. Its that simple.

I'll watch the poll thread for 1 week and the work on a deal once thats solidifed I'll let you know what the part will cost. I'm not making anything on this just being a true auto enthusist. Unlike some on CL members who want kick backs of somekind... I'll let you all know the next steps.

Depending on response and demand on this, there's a good chance we may depleat available US stock. If this happens, there will be delays because it will have to come from Japan.

Got it! So.. who can start the poll?

I definitely need the arm rest with the cup holder. Just the other day I almost got an accident because as I was making a turn my cup of soda almost tipped over and as I was trying to catch it, the car swerved to the left to oncoming traffic...Of course I had to save my self and the soda...you can picture the rest with what happened inside the car.. So how much would it be.. Mine is a 94 gs300, tan interior

So I did the "JB Weld/paper clip" fix (found on other threads) pushed the cupholder back into the arm rest and now it won't come out. I'll try priying it out this weekend.

Default anyone want to attempt to contact the SPONSORS for a group buy?

I hope this posting doesn't ban me as I got a 12 month probi from my last post. But I think I'm ok..... if not this will be my last post for a very long time.

That being said...

There seems to be many with the same delima. This design and use of small plastic tabs as we all know today doesn't last. Poor engineering on the mechanics.

The last time I bought a new OE one it was 4.5 years ago and it was listed at and bought at a price of $99.00 the tabs broke on it too specaily with the hot/cold weather in Illinios. today the part lists for $137.00 pretty steep in my book.

Anyway, the part number is 55620-30011

then followed by color code

A0= IVORY
B0= GREY
G0=Spruce

e.g 55620-30011-B0 = GREY

Default Refurbished cupholder

After two busted cupholders (the second was obtained from salvage yard), I located a local shop that refurbished mine with properly sized metal tabs that should far outlast plastice OEM design. Feel free to contact me for additional info.

OK is too far away, but the details would be appreciated: cost, location, etc. Maybe they ship?

When I bought my GS, it was completely missing the cupholder insert. My mechanic gave me one that he had unsuccessfully tried to fix. I managed to glue on a couple of paperclips as tabs. It's firmly in place now, but it is a bear to slide in/out. If I slide it all the way in, I have to use a putty knife to get it out. It's a real pain. Are they supposed to slide smoothly? I had expected it to smartly spring out.
