Custom big brake kits using other car brembo calipers
(yes, i tried searching... maybe not well enough)
I have been seeing a ton of Brembo calipers on ebay and other forums from such cars like 350/G35s, Evos, STIs, Lambos, Ferraris etc etc.
Well, I was tinkering with the idea of getting those calipers and making a custom brake kit. However, I was not so sure if it will even fit. I know that there might be clearance issues because of the offsets and such, but can it be done??
I've adapted brakes to cars from other cars, it's a matter of making a robust bracket to make it all happen.
You may be able to purchase some brackets somewhere if the Brembos you find are the same as the ones offered in the kits.
usually the adapter plate is just a thick plate of steel that mates the caliper to the hub. there are plenty of brembo kits available for the supra. you can double check to see which model caliper is on whichever parts car youre pulling from and order the supra adapter plate from brembo if they make it...otherwise have a plate made? the design of the hub makes it look like it wouldnt be hard to fab up a plate as long as either you or your shop are good enough to make sure the caliper mounts up straight. brembos can get really expensive though regardless of where theyre coming from.
dont tell me youre still running stock brakes on that beast!
brakes were the first thing on my car even at stock power!
wow someone get this man some TT brakes! Stock TT brakes are awesome man and require no modification to put on. i had on all 4 corners in like 2 hours working alone. hardest part was pulling off the stock rear rotors.
