Do the door scuff plates light up?

Do the door scuff plates light up?

Are the scuff plates that say "Lexus" supposed to light up? If so, how? Mine don't appear to be lighting up and I can't find this in the manual.

No they aren't supposed to light up on the GS. The RX and IS yes

i asked the same thing when i had the RX as a rental car kind of a bummer when the RX get this and we dont

It is available in the Japan version. It is in the accessories on the Lexus.jp website

Good find! i did a babelfish translation and this is what it reads...heh.
