Supercharger for SC300
I am thinking of designing a supercharger system for my SC.
I know, I've said before that I don't need the extra power. But I really like to tinker.
Does anyone know who makes the most efficiently-sized compressor? Paxton? Vortech? Powerdyne?

But all of that exhaust modification.
And where do I get the exaust manifold?
Don't I have to lower the compression via new head gasket,etc. I just don't want to tear into the engine.
Sounds like more work. The supercharger is far less invasive. I recently installed a supercharger kit on my Dad's Dodge pick-up. It seemed very simple to me.

ask computer wiz about it 
he wanted to do a supercharger kit; but found out its cheaper and a lot better to do a turbo on a 2jz car
there are TONS of kits around...
people don't supercharge the 2jz for a reason... and you don't HAVE to put on the headgasket if you don't want... you'll just be limited to around 10-12psi of boost... but you'll still make a LOT more power than the supercharger
its 400rwhp vs 300rwhp
the turbo is also better for gas mileage and allows you to remove all restrictions in the exhaust since it won't be too loud

Jon, Turbos are not legal in Cal. SC aren't either but Swift claims it' in the process of obtaining a carb #.
Unless you want to have to take off your Turbo everytime the smog comes up or find some who will do it on the sly, try to find something legal.

Oh yes, I realize the smog implecations. I'll have to stew on that for awhile. Maybe Swift will have CARB certification by the time I'm ready to blow the bucks.

swift has been saying there getting card #s for like 2 years now....and there GS400 kit is stll not carb exempt from what i know....and they havent finished a kit for the sc300 yet.......and toyomoto has been making a turbo kit for the car since 93......i have had my kit for 2+yrs.....there kits are awsome and will give you all the power you want......if you have more questions ask away...Jeff

lexlyf...im glad i amuse you.......so tell me...does swift racing have any carb exempt numbers for there products...?....and if he wants a slow sc300...i guess he will call....is your car supercharged yet?......

Oh, my surprise is that I can run 10psi without lowering the compression. Every kit I've seen requires a new head gasket. I would like to keep the factory high-compression.
