A friend from another forum with a G500 mentioned they did away with it so I felt I'd share with the fellow clublexus people, I read alot of information hear so I try to return the favor
Now I do know MB owners who will not be return buyers cause of this, MB seems to be steadily going downhill, they should be giving out vouchers for Lexus test drives, seem to be where the owners are going anyways
Celebrating Lexus & Toyota from Around the Globe

The Ghetto thats funny, Lexus dealers are not in the Ghetto, most Lexus dealership are all in nice middle to upper income areas
and as far as the prices on their service, my ES300 has a $600, 5k service and the 15k is $1300, I'd rather go to Toyota with equal and faster service and pay a thrid what the Lexus dealer charges, now when I get an LS I guess cause it's unique I have to take it to Lex but I'll still check out Toyota
First, i'm sorry to report you are wrong. Lexus made toyota parts are specific to Lexus. Try swapping power steering hoses just as a small example. Toyota one's are single to double layered, Lexus are triple layered. Everything about the Lexus design is double beefy. Working with hands on experience (such as I have) V/S assumptions will net you vast knowledge about Lexus parts. The only crossover vehicle is the ES300, in which there are *some* parts that do indeed crossover.
That "rebadged toyota" line won't fly with people who KNOW more than sticking the key in it and driving around.
Another FYI for you - every single part on the lexus is stamped Toyota, not Lexus. There are no parts stamped Lexus, they do not exist beyond cosmetic items. The obviousness of which who makes these parts is beyond a blind man's guess.
EDIT-Whoops, just noticed you drive an ES, i understand your POV now.

I may drive an ES but what does that have anything to do with it, so now your gonna tell me they use the same parts on my ES as a Camry but save the special parts for Lexus
The ES is an exception, oh wait a minute, the LX shares parts with the LandCruiser and the GX shares parts with the V8 4Runner.
I like how you added in that "rebadged toyota" line won't fly, you brought it up I know plenty of people who have Toyotas who could not afford the Lexus, Lexus adds in many features to differentiate the price increase, most importantly is better warranties.
As for your power steering hose, Toyota Corporate phases out parts all the time, Toyota does not make their own hoses they use parts distributors, I’ve crossed checked parts from 2 Toy dealers and the Lexus Dealer, you can’t tell me Lexus has higher quality parts when the belts, hoses, filter and everything else have the exact same serial numbers printed on the boxes, what are you gonna tell me now.
Tell me why it is such a better bargain to buy an oil filter from Lexus (90915-YZZD1) for 10 bucks and the same filter from a Toyota Dealer (90915-YZZD1) is $3.50
Their are no differences between Toyota and Lexus parts, they may double or triple layer hoses for the LS430 or the GS430 but don’t tell me parts that can be uses in identical applications are different, I was a Toyota Tech and the Corporation owned several dealerships, 1 other being Lexus and the Lexus Tech where in the shop all the time taking parts.
