FYI - Voice activated Nav and Bluetooth will be available.
voice recognition nav is already available no the 4th gen nav (since 04 ls430 and 05 most lexus models), so it's going to be on for sure
homelink has been on lexus since long long time ago
i am not sure about moving vents and power door/trunk close though. i think it might make more sense to have those exclusively for the ls430

Nice car.....I looked at one closely yesterday at the D.C. Auto Show....they had a silver-gray 2006 RWD there. The sloped roofline is very low, though....this is not going to be a car for NBA guys.

No....... Complexity does not necessarily mean unreliability. Look at the Lexus LX470 and the Infiniti Q45....two extraordinarily complex vehicles. They both.......along with most Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti products.....are right at the industry top for reliability. The difference.....at least in principle......is very simple. The Japanese design and build reliable electronics. The Europeans don't. Recent quality studies and audits have shown that much of the problem with the electronics in European vehicles stems from the way electrical connectors are designed and installed at the factory. It is much harder on the European designs for the assembly line worker to reach the connectors, attach and hook them up properly, and then confirm the security of the attachment. This, of course, sets the stage for many problems later. The Japanese connectors, on the other hand are simple, foolproof, easy for the assembly line worker to reach, and confirm the security of the attachment with a loud snap to let the worker know it is on correctly.

Does anyone know if the side-view mirrors will actually fold in, when the car is parked?

I agree with MMarshall. The LS 430 and Q45 are very complex and tops in reliablity. The SC430 with a folding roof has gotten the best quality score EVER in JD Power.
