Wait, What? Lexus ES 300 Most Ticketed Car in U.S.

Out of all the Lexus models out there, which one do you reckon merits their owners the most speeding tickets, not just among Lexus drivers, but all U.S. drivers?

If you said the Lexus ES 300, then you are a better guesser-of-things than I. But it’s true: according to Insurance.Com, who surveyed more than 320,000 customers, ES 300 owners have admitted to receiving more tickets than other model owner. Well, almost any other model, as they’re actually tied with Nissan 350Z owners.

That 33% of 350Z drivers admitted to getting a ticket in their performance car is not a surprise. But 33% of Lexus ES 300 owners? That’s crazy, isn’t the ES 300 — regardless of whether it’s from 1992, 2003, or any year in between — really more of a moving couch than a speed demon? (But like a really nice, leather couch, of course.)

Well, Insurance.Com believes there may be a logical explanation. They opine it may be a function of younger drivers inheriting the ever-reliable ES models from their parents. Which would make sense, as younger drivers are all hooligans.

Interestingly, another unexpected Lexus tied for the model associated with the fewest speeding tickets: the IS 350, a performance car.
