The Lexus LX570 isn’t just a massive and beautiful vehicle, but it’s also one of the very few truly off-road capable luxury SUVs left in today’s turbocharged, crossover-based world. But this — this LX570 Cabriolet is certainly something else.
Cabriolet, convertible, droptop… call it whatever you want, but it won’t make it look any better. We aren’t sure who exactly is responsible for the misuse of power tools on this beautiful 2016 Lexus LX570, but we do know that high-end dealership UAE Sale is currently selling this abomination for the insane amount of 1.3 million AED, which roughly translates to a little under $350,000 USD! Why? We don’t know. Considering a fully optioned-out, ongoing model will set you back around $93k in the United States, we can’t explain where the remaining $257,000 comes from.
While it probably took a bit of engineering and some upholstery work to pull this off, the big price hike is most likely due to various taxes and fees that imported vehicles must pay in the UAE, plus a big chunk of change for “exclusivity.” Still, you’re talking about charging the price of nearly four brand-new LX570s for just one Frankenstein looking thing.
Don’t be surprised if this bad boy doesn’t last long on the showroom floor though, as the demand for convertible SUVs from the likes of Nissan and Land Rover is at an all time high.
