What Sounds Better Than an LFA? An LFA Race Car!

OK, I realize that the term “better” is kind of subjective. And I never get sick of hearing the wail of the Lexus halo car in any trim. But the sound of the weapons-grade Gazoo Racing LFA SP8 screaming is magnificent in its brutality. 

While this car technically came in “last” on the Ten-Best Sounding Race Cars of All Time list Jalopnik ran earlier today, I’m not going to dwell on the order. For the record, the LFA was introduced as “the best sounding road car of the last decade,” so there’s that. Regardless, it’s in some pretty stellar company, including the Porsche 917K–and its flat-12–the Ferrari 412T2, a Saleen S7-R and the ferocious Mazda 787B. I’d recommend checking out all the entries–hope you have headphones at work.
