Proof the Lexus LFA is the Best-Sounding Supercar Ever

Lexus LFA Launching

Here's some Friday feel-good for you Lexus fans. I am going to babble about something you most likely agree with, and if you disagree with me, you need to have your eardrums tuned ... preferably by Yamaha: not only a fantastic musical instrument manufacturer, but also the company that co-developed the LFA's 4.8L V10.

It seems any time Yamaha has anything to do with engines, good sound results. For instance, my favorite V8 sound comes from the Yamaha-built 4.4L V8 under the hood of the Volvo S80.

And so, mostly #becauseYamaha, the Lexus LFA is the best-sounding supercar ever built. The proof is in my Instagram video below.

I know, you're probably thinking, "Tell me something I don't know." Well, I'm sorry, but telling you what you don't know does not apply when you're talking about the exhaust noise of an LFA. Being reminded of the LFA's operatic abilities never gets old. The LFA's scream must be celebrated often. Click play below to join me in the celebratory gluttony.

Brian Durden (Tue, 19 Aug 2014 15:43:32 -0700): We'll have to agree to disagree on V8 sounds. The M3 has the Volvo thoroughly trounced for cross-plane V8s. Proof: However, the 72deg LFA V10 is the best sounding supercar. I think a close contender would be the Pagani Huayra
Ron Furgerson (Tue, 19 Aug 2014 16:06:10 -0700): Nothing beats the sound of a Harley idling. This Lexus sounds more like one of those rice burners. Or, are the speakers in my MacBook just not up to the task of reproducing the awesome sound you're talking about?
Bob Moon (Tue, 19 Aug 2014 16:12:29 -0700): I just picked mine out.
Kevin Lyles (Tue, 19 Aug 2014 16:37:07 -0700): Nice
Ryan Kehoe (Tue, 19 Aug 2014 17:04:35 -0700): Harley's ?? That Volvo sounds legit something I'm NOT in the habit of announcing..I've been around the block with rice that's not rice. LFA Supercar sounds like cocaine feels.
Rene Sanchez (Tue, 19 Aug 2014 17:35:06 -0700): Your hearing must've gone bad to distinguish the difference in car engines. Have you heard of what rice sounds like? So you're comparing a Lexus to a 90's model Civic with a fart can exhaust? We're talking about cars here, not bikes, let alone Harley's.
Charles Whiting (Tue, 19 Aug 2014 17:52:54 -0700): the fact that your using a crapbook kills any credibility you couldve had.
Winston O'Boogie (Wed, 20 Aug 2014 06:28:36 -0700): Does it come in a convertible?
Bob Williams (Thu, 21 Aug 2014 05:38:24 -0700): I have been in love with Yamaha for years, the SHO V6 and V8, the V-star Warrior, R1 and R6, Nobel M600 (which carries the above mentioned V8), and last but not least the amazing sound which is the LFA!
