Lexus Tops Reliability Ratings Once Again
This win, though is particularly exceptional for one reason. For the first time in years, the average number of problems in cars are actually on the rise. According to J.D. Power, "the decline in quality is particularly acute for vehicles with four-cylinder engines."
Four-cylinder engines are the most common type of engine in cars today which might explain why the numbers are so skewed. The important thing is that Lexus has still successfully retained their build quality while branching out into performance car territory. Cars build to be fun also have a tendency to be build badly, so if Lexus can remove unreliability from the equation, they'd be on the right track.
